Stamping Chicks
You are little artists discovering a whole new way to paint. With something you surely have at home: toilet paper rolls! Create fluffy chicks that have just hatched from their eggs. A fantastic art project, especially around Easter. Are you ready to let your imagination soar? Let's go!
What you'll need
- Toilet paper roll
- Acrylic paints
- Colored pencils
- White or brown paper
- Paint palette
- Optional: brushes
- Old clothes
- Painting surface
How it works

Lay out everything you need on a table. You might want to wear old clothes because painting can get a bit messy!

Take a toilet paper roll and dip one end into the yellow paint. Now comes the magical part: gently press the roll onto your paper. Voilà, the body of your chick is ready! Do you want your chick to look fluffier? Then wiggle the roll a bit.

Now that your chicks have a body, they need eyes, a beak, legs, and toes. Use the colored pencils to draw two small dots for the eyes and little triangles for the beak. The legs go at the bottom of the body. Draw lines for the toes.

Every chick is unique, just like you! Give your chick a name and come up with a little story. Where does it live? Does it have friends? What adventures does it have?
