Snowman from a Tree Slice
How about a snowman that doesn't melt? With a tree slice and a bit of imagination, you can easily create your own snowman. Tree slices are natural and give your decoration a special touch. Whether on the Christmas tree, in the window, or as a gift, your snowman fits everywhere.
What you'll need
- A tree slice (smooth and round)
- White acrylic paint
- Black marker
- Orange construction paper (for the nose)
- Glue
- String
- Optional: Cotton or glitter
How it works
-
Paint the entire tree slice with white paint until it shines evenly. This is the base for your snowman. Let the paint dry well. Tip: If you don't paint the bark of the tree slice, it will remain a natural frame. That looks especially nice!
-
Draw two eyes with the black marker in the upper half of the tree slice. Cut out a small piece from the construction paper for the nose. Glue the nose under the eyes. Below that, draw a smiling mouth with small dots.
-
Cut a piece of string or ribbon and glue it to the back of the tree slice. Alternatively, you can drill a hole in the tree slice and thread the string through. Have fun decorating and have a merry Christmas season!
