Snowman Artwork
Hello! Are you ready for a creative winter adventure? Here you will create your own snowman, not from snow, but with chalk and paper. In the end, you'll have a piece of art that’s perfect as a Christmas card or decoration for your room. Grab some chalk markers, colored paper, and your favorite scissors, and let’s get started!
What you'll need
- Snowman template
- White sheet of paper (A4 or a card)
- Chalk markers in various colors
- Colored paper for the scarf and nose
- Scissors and glue
- Tissue or kitchen paper
- A little bit of finesse
How it works
-
Choose a snowman template. If you don’t have a printer, simply draw a snowman on sturdy paper and carefully cut it out. Make sure the template stays stable, as you will use it shortly.
-
Place the template on your white sheet of paper. Hold it firmly so it doesn’t slip. Now take a chalk marker and draw around the template. Choose a bold color like blue. Be careful: the template should not move so that the edges stay clean.
-
Now it gets exciting. Grab a tissue or a soft kitchen towel and smudge the chalk around the template. Make gentle movements. Be careful to keep the template in place. When you’re done, carefully lift the template off.
-
Ta-da! A bright white snowman appears, surrounded by a magical shimmer of color.
-
Now you can bring your snowman to life. Draw eyes and buttons. Sketch arms waving up, or put a funny hat on him. Cut out a carrot nose from orange paper and glue it on.
-
Extra tip: With a white chalk marker, you can draw snowflakes around the snowman, just like in a real snowstorm.
-
Now it’s time for your imagination. Would you like to give your artwork as a Christmas card? Then write a sweet message on it. Or hang it up in your room and enjoy it every time you walk by.
