Imagine crafting little stars that bring you luck, which you can give as gifts or use to decorate your room for Christmas. Sounds exciting, right? These mini 3D stars are not only pretty, but they are also a lot of fun to make and can be used for many things. Whether as a gift, Christmas decoration, for learning, or simply for admiration. What you'll need

Paper strips (1cm wide & 21cm long)
Your hands and a bit of patience!

How it works

Take a paper strip and make a knot at the beginning. Loop the paper like a bow and pull the end through. Gently tighten the knot, but keep it flat.
The beginning is done! You can fold or cut off the excess part of the strip. Smooth the knot until it looks like a small pentagon.
Wrap the long end of the paper strip around the pentagon. Always follow the edges. If the strip gets too short, carefully tuck the end under the last layer. Now everything holds together.
Gently press with your fingernails on the middle of each edge. The star puffs up and becomes three-dimensional. Repeat the gentle pressing on all edges until the star is perfectly puffed up.
You will notice that it gets easier with each star. Your fingers will become better at folding and shaping. And what will you do with them? Create a 'Star Wish Jar', decorate your room with a garland, or give the stars as lucky charms.
