Making a Snowman from Ice Sticks
What could be better than making a snowman without any snow? With a few ice sticks, some paint, and a bit of imagination, you can create your own snowman. This snowman is easy to make, a lot of fun, and perfect as Christmas decoration to hang up.
What you'll need
- 6 ice sticks
- White and black acrylic paint
- Colored and patterned paper
- Glue
- Black marker
- Scissors
- String for hanging
How it works
-
Lay 5 ice sticks side by side to form a flat surface. Glue the 6th ice stick across the top ends of the other sticks. This will be the hat. Let the glue dry well so the snowman is stable.
-
Paint the lower part of the ice sticks white. This will be the body of the snowman. Paint the horizontal ice stick and the top black. That's the hat. Let the paint dry well.
-
Cut out a carrot nose from paper and glue it onto the upper white area. Use a black marker to draw two eyes and a smiling mouth. Now your snowman has a face! Also, draw three buttons.
-
Cut two narrow strips from colorful paper. This will be the scarf. Glue them just below the face, both horizontally and vertically over the ice sticks. Cut a piece of string or ribbon and glue it to the back of the snowman. Your snowman will definitely be an eye-catcher. Have fun!
