What you'll need

  • An empty card
  • Glue or hot glue (if you have it)
  • Green glitter
  • Markers
  • Star stickers for the top
  • Bowl

How it works

  1. Start at the top of the card with a pencil. Draw a continuous line that expands to the right and left as it goes down, making it widest at the bottom – like the silhouette of a Christmas tree.

  2. Carefully use hot glue (caution: hot! Only with an adult!) or craft glue to quickly trace along the Christmas tree line. Immediately sprinkle generous amounts of glitter onto the still wet glue line. The glitter will stick to the glue and form the Christmas tree.

  3. Once you’ve applied enough glitter, hold the card over a bowl and gently tap it so that the excess glitter falls into the bowl and is caught. This way, you can reuse the glitter for next time!

  4. Let the card dry well. If you like, you can add small details at the end, like a star on top or write a festive message. Your sparkling Christmas card with a glittery Christmas tree is ready – perfect for giving!
