Magical Dandelion DIY
Did you know that dandelions are actually the same as puffballs? When the yellow dandelion wilts, it transforms into a fluffy, white puffball. They are so light that they can fly away with the slightest breeze or a gentle blow. The tiny seeds then float through the air and land in a new spot to grow into new plants. It's truly fascinating! Now we will show you how to create a beautiful dandelion decoration for your home. This way, you can capture the magic of dandelions and keep it as a memory of a lovely time.
What you'll need
- Closed dandelions
- Wooden skewers
- Vase
- Sand
- Optional: Scissors
How it works
-
Go on a search for dandelions that have not yet opened. You can find these on dandelions that have already bloomed and then closed up again.
-
Gently pick a few closed dandelions by the stem and carefully bring them home.
-
Once home, carefully skewer the dandelion onto a wooden skewer. Since the stem is hollow, this should be quite easy. Make sure the tip of the skewer does not stick out of the dandelion.
-
Now take a container and fill it with sand. Insert the wooden skewers with the dandelions into the sand so they stand well and have enough space between them.
-
Now comes the most exciting part: waiting! But don't worry, it won't take long. After just one or two days, your dandelions will open up as if by magic and transform into a fantastic, magical decoration for your room.
