Icy Water Balloons

Today, you'll learn how to fill balloons with water, freeze them, and have a ton of fun. You can even freeze little surprises like dinosaurs or other toys inside! Why is this so great? - Balloons
- Water
- Small dinosaurs or toys
- A freezer
How it works

Stand by the sink or a garden tap. Take a balloon and stretch the opening over the tap. Slowly let water fill the balloon until it's about the size of an orange. Tie a knot in the balloon to prevent any water from leaking out.

If you want, you can also push a small toy inside beforehand. This works best when the balloon is still empty.

Carefully place the filled balloons in the freezer. Leave the balloons in the freezer for at least 4-5 hours or overnight until they are completely frozen.

Take the frozen balloons out of the freezer. Be careful, they are very cold! Gently peel the balloons off. If they don't come off easily, you can cut them open with scissors. Now you have awesome ice blocks with surprises inside!

Feel the cold ice on your skin, it's an exciting experience! Try to break the ice blocks with a hammer (please be careful and supervised). Watch how the ice melts and what patterns form.
