A homemade Easter basket is unique. You'll learn how to create something beautiful from simple things. You'll practice your patience, dexterity, and creativity. And the best part? What you'll need

Flexible twigs, e.g., birch
Branch, about 30cm long
Wire
Garden scissors
Optional moss and other decorations

How it works

Look around in the forest or park. Search for thin, flexible birch twigs that are already on the ground. You need about 20-30 pieces. Then find a thicker branch, about as thick as your thumb and 30 cm long. This will be the handle.
Lay the collected thin twigs alternately with their ends overlapping.
Split the twigs on one side into two halves. Place the thick branch in between. Take wire or a sturdy string and wrap everything tightly. Now one side is secure.
Now do the same on the other side. Again, split the twigs, place the thick branch in between, and wrap it with wire. Now the thick branch looks like a handle and the twigs form a curved shape like a nest.
Tweak the twigs a bit so they look nice and round and stable. If you like, add moss or leaves inside. This will be a soft bed for your Easter eggs or small gifts.
