Easter Basket from Tree Slice
Craft Easter baskets together using real tree slices! This will not only be exciting, but you'll also learn how to make great things with natural materials.
What you'll need
- tree slice
- nails and a hammer
- willow branches
- Easter grass
- decorative materials if needed
How it works
-
Grab your round tree slice. This will be the base of your basket.
-
Hammer nails into the edge of the tree slice at regular intervals. Don't hammer them all the way in; they need to stick out.
-
Now take the willow branches. Weave them carefully between the nails. Once inwards and once outwards, all around the slice.
-
You can decide how high or dense you want your basket to be. More branches for a denser basket, fewer for a more airy one.
-
When you're satisfied, add some Easter grass, feathers, or other decorations. And ta-da! You've made your own Easter basket!
