What you'll need

  • Balloon
  • Plaster bandages
  • Bowl of water
  • Scissors
  • Easter grass or crepe paper

How it works

  1. First, choose a balloon. What color is yours? It will soon look like a big egg! Inflate the balloon, but not too big - so that your Easter basket is a good size.

  2. Now it’s going to get a bit messy, but it’s really fun! Take one plaster bandage at a time and dip it in the bowl of water. Then carefully wrap it around the top part of the balloon and smooth out all the plaster bandages nicely.

  3. Is your balloon ready? Great! Now your Easter basket needs some time to dry. Place it in a safe spot where it won't be disturbed. One night should be enough. Remember, good things sometimes take a little time.

  4. The next day comes the most exciting part: Pop the balloon! Be careful, don’t scare yourself. Now you can see how your plaster basket has taken shape.

  5. Now you can line the inside of your basket with Easter grass or colorful crepe paper. It not only looks great but also keeps little surprises that the Easter Bunny might bring safe.

  6. Place your handmade Easter basket in a special spot and wait. Who knows, maybe the Easter Bunny will leave something nice for you inside!
