What you'll need
- Colorful crepe paper
- Templates
- Spray bottle
- Or brush
- Water
- Surface
- Scissors
How it works
-
Find a cozy spot to craft. Place a newspaper or another surface on the table to keep it from getting wet.
-
Take a sheet of white paper or print one of our templates with fish or other underwater creatures.
-
Cut the crepe paper into small pieces. The shapes don't have to be perfect.
-
Place the pieces of crepe paper on your paper or template. You can arrange the colors however you like. Tip: Feel free to layer the pieces. This creates beautiful color gradients.
-
Now comes the exciting part! Take the spray bottle with water or a brush and thoroughly moisten the crepe paper. But not too much water, so the paper underneath doesn't tear.
-
The water will dissolve the colors from the crepe paper and transfer them to the white paper. You'll see how the colors blend and create amazing patterns.
-
Let the water sit for a few minutes. Once the crepe paper has dried a bit, you can gently peel it off. Wow! Now you have a beautiful, colorful picture with amazing patterns. You did a fantastic job!
