Craft a Colorful Easter Egg from a Paper Plate

Place the paper plate in front of you and draw a large egg in the center. If you like, you can also try drawing a bunny or a chick. For starters, a simple egg is best. Leave enough space from the edge.

Now take the scissors and cut out the egg shape. Make sure to only cut out the shape in the middle. The edge should remain intact. This will be your frame.

Use the hole punch to make holes around the opening. They shouldn't be too close to the edge, but also not too far away. You can count how many holes you punch. It's fun and even brings some math into play.

Now it's time to add some color! Cut a piece of yarn. Start weaving from hole to hole. You can go back and forth or zigzag. It's up to you! When a thread runs out: tie a knot, take a new thread, and keep going.

When your Easter egg is finished, flip it over and tie a tight knot at the back. This keeps everything in place. On the front, only your colorful pattern is visible. A little masterpiece, made by you. Perfect for hanging or gifting.
