Chestnut Meditation
Join your collected chestnuts for a little adventure in relaxation. With the chestnuts you found on your last forest walk, you'll do a short, wonderful meditation.
What you'll need
- Collected chestnuts
How it works
-
Make yourself comfortable and place the chestnuts in front of you. Take a deep breath and imagine you are in the forest, listening to the rustling leaves.
-
Take one chestnut in your hand, close your eyes, and feel how it feels. Is it smooth like a marble or does it have little grooves?
-
Place the chestnut on your belly and feel it rise and fall with each breath. Breathe calmly and evenly.
-
Listen to the soft sound when you gently tap two chestnuts together. Can you make a song or a rhythm from it?
-
Imagine your chestnuts can talk to each other. What would they tell each other? Maybe they share stories of their adventures in the forest.
-
To finish, smile at your chestnuts and say 'Thank you' for this little adventure. With a happy feeling, you can now continue enjoying your day.
