Beeswax Plate Candles
Get ready for a creative and fragrant adventure! You will become real candle artists and make super cool candles from beeswax plates! And guess what? It's super easy and so much fun.
What you'll need
- Beeswax plates
- Cookie cutter
- Wicks
- Scissors
- Pricking needle or nail
How it works

Cut out your favorite shape from the beeswax plates. For example, stars, hearts, or flowers. Choose a shape and stick with it!

Take the cookie cutter and press it into the wax plate. If it's too hard, you can warm it briefly in your hands to make it more pliable.

Stack at least 6-7 layers of wax. Each shape goes on top of the other. Press them gently together so they hold well.

Now comes the trick! Use the needle to make a small hole in the middle. Be very careful not to poke yourself.

Pull the wick through the hole. Leave some wick sticking out at the top; that will be the flame later. Make sure the hole isn't too big so the wick fits snugly.

The candle is ready! Attention, attention – very important! When lighting candles, an adult must always be present. Candles are cool, but you have to be careful. Place your candles on a non-flammable surface, like a plate. Have fun!
