Be a Beach Artist
Today we are going on a treasure hunt at the beach. But we are not looking for gold or diamonds; we are searching for special pieces that the sea has brought us: shells, stones, seaweed, and even beach litter. Why? Because today we will become real beach artists. And while we create our artworks, we will also learn why it is so important to keep our beach clean and beautiful. The beach is not just our playground; it is also home to many animals!
What you'll need
- Beach treasures
How it works
-
Let's go on a treasure hunt! Look for shells, stones, seaweed, and beach litter. But be careful with sharp objects and ask an adult if you are unsure.
-
With the treasures you have found, you can now create your own beach artworks. You can draw a picture in the sand and decorate it with your treasures. Or you can build small sculptures. Let your imagination run wild!
-
While we create our artworks, we can also help keep the beach clean. Beach litter is not only unsightly, but it is also harmful to the animals that live in or near the sea. So let's make sure we dispose of our trash and any litter we find.
-
Let's also learn a bit about nature. Did you know that many animals use shells as their homes? And that seaweed and other plants are important parts of the ecosystem? Stones can tell us a lot about geology and the history of the Earth.
-
Finally, we can showcase our artworks in a small exhibition. Each of us can explain what we created and what our art means. And always remember, every time we visit the beach, we can experience a new adventure and protect our beautiful Earth.
