Strawberry Smoothie with Raspberries and Banana
Imagine you're outside in the garden. The sun is shining on your face. In your hand: a glass. Cool, fruity, bright red. You take a sip. Mmm… Tastes like summer. This is your homemade strawberry smoothie. Made from real fruits. Because when you throw strawberries, raspberries, and bananas together in the blender, something really exciting happens. The colors mix. The scent fills your nose. And suddenly there's a drink that makes you happy. One you can share with others. Or enjoy all by yourself.
What you'll need
- Two cups of fresh strawberries
- One cup of fresh raspberries
- Half or whole banana
- Half a cup of cold water
- One lemon (organic)
- A blender
- Cutting board and knife
- Clean bottle for filling
- Glass
How it works
-
First, wash your hands. Then wash the fruit. Best with cold water. Cut off the green leaves from the strawberries. You need two cups of fresh strawberries, one cup of raspberries, and – depending on your taste – one banana.
-
Now put the fruit in the blender. First the strawberries, then the raspberries, and finally the banana. You can also add a small splash of lemon juice. It makes the smoothie fresher and helps it stay nice longer.
-
And then add half a cup of cold water. The water helps the smoothie not to be too thick and mix well. Caution: Make sure to close the lid tightly! Never turn on the blender without supervision, ask an adult if you can start.
-
Turn on the blender and go! At first, it sounds loud, then it gets quieter. You see: The fruits are dancing, spinning, turning into a red whirlwind. And in the end: a creamy smoothie. Turn it off! Now try a small spoonful. Is it fruity enough? Too sour? Too sweet?
-
Pour the smoothie into a glass or a bottle. If you don't drink it right away: put it in the fridge. It will keep for one to two days. Important: Always screw it on tightly, otherwise it will spoil quickly.
-
Now comes the best moment. Sit down comfortably. Drink slowly. What do you taste first? Strawberry? Raspberry? Banana? Lemon? Maybe you want to try a new flavor tomorrow? With yogurt? With mango? With oats? Have fun experimenting!
