Making Pancakes
Are you ready to discover a delicious pancake recipe? This is not just about cooking, but also about experimenting, learning, and maybe even a little adventure. Why are pancakes so tasty? What makes them sweet or savory? You can find out while cooking. Grab your mixing spoons, put on your aprons, and let's get started! But before we begin: Cooking is fun, but it's also important to be careful. Hot stove, pans, and butter can be dangerous. So, it's essential that an adult helps you. It’s more fun together anyway.
What you'll need
- 300g flour
- 3 eggs
- 500ml milk
- A pinch of salt
- Extras: sugar, fruit, Nutella or cheese
- Ladle
- Pan
- Large bowl
- Whisk
- Spatula
How it works
-
Prepare all the ingredients. Get a large bowl, a whisk, and a pan. Put 300g of flour and three eggs into the bowl. You're making the pancake batter now!
-
Pour in 500ml of milk and add a pinch of salt. Now whisk until you have a smooth batter. If there are a few lumps, that's okay. They'll disappear while cooking.
-
Careful, hot! An adult should place the pan on the stove and heat it on medium. Add a piece of butter and wait for it to melt. Scoop a ladle of batter and pour it into the hot pan. Now an adult should swirl the pan to spread the batter.
-
After about two minutes, an adult should carefully flip the pancake with the spatula. Then cook the other side until golden brown. Place the finished pancake on a plate. Spread jam or Nutella on it, stack pieces of fruit, or try a savory version.
