How it works

  1. Go outside to a park, forest, or your garden. Take a close look at the trees. Which tree do you like the most? Is it tall or short? Does it have smooth or rough bark? Choose a tree that speaks to you.

  2. Examine the tree closely. How does the bark feel? Is it rough or smooth? Does the tree have leaves, needles, or maybe fruits? Take your time to really explore the tree. Look for animals or insects that might live in or on the tree.

  3. Hug the tree! Imagine the tree is your friend. Close your eyes and feel the bark with your hands. Can you hear the leaves rustling or the birds chirping? Breathe in deeply and out. Feel how the tree is firmly rooted in the ground and how it gives you strength and calm.

  4. Isn't that a wonderful feeling? Do you feel calm and relaxed? Have you learned something new about the tree or nature?

  5. Trees are an important part of our world. By learning to appreciate and protect them, you help preserve our environment. Plus, by hugging a tree, you can learn to be more mindful and respectful of nature.

  6. Did you have fun hugging the tree? Remember, nature is full of wonders waiting to be discovered by you. So, go outside, find your favorite tree, and feel the magic of nature! Until next time, have fun exploring!
