Create a Tornado
Ready for a science experiment? Today we're making a tornado. No, not a real one - that would be too dangerous. We're creating an artificial tornado in a glass. All you need is a glass, sparkling water, a spoon, and some salt. Sounds like magic? It's science! Now, let's go storm chasing!
What you'll need

- Sparkling water

How it works

Take a clear glass. Fill it with sparkling water. Don't fill it all the way to the top, we don't want to create a real storm in the kitchen!

Now take the spoon and stir quickly in the glass, always in a circle, always in the same direction.

Now add a pinch of salt to the water. The salt helps make the tornado more visible. Now comes the magical part. Watch as the water forms into a whirl - a mini tornado!

And voilà, you've created your own tornado in a glass. A tornado is actually a large, powerful whirl in the air. It forms when warm and cold air meet and start to spin. Sometimes so strong that it becomes a tornado.
