- Baking tray and baking paper

- Star-shaped cookie cutter
- Cookie tins
- Oven mitts
How it works
-
Place all the ingredients on the table so you don’t forget anything. Now you can start your first mission: Weighing! Check carefully if you have the right amount. Can you weigh it yourself? Great! If not, ask someone to help you.
-
Take a large bowl. Add 250g butter, 250g margarine, 250g sugar, 2 packets of vanilla sugar, and 3 eggs. Mix everything into a creamy dough. Use a hand mixer or your clean hands. What happens when you stir long enough? The ingredients come together!
-
Once everything is well mixed, add 1kg of flour. Now it gets tricky: The dough will become firmer, and you need to knead it into a smooth dough with your hands or the mixer.
-
Now comes the exciting part. Get a meat grinder with a spritz cookie attachment. If you don’t have one, no problem – you can also shape small balls or sticks. Push the dough through the attachment. What shapes do you create?
-
Place the shaped cookies on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Make sure to leave enough space between the cookies so they don’t stick together.
-
Now it’s time for the hot phase. Caution: The oven gets really hot! So, get help from an adult when putting in and taking out the trays. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (fan). Slide the trays into the oven and bake the cookies for about 10 to 12 minutes.
-
Carefully take the trays out of the oven. Wait until the cookies cool down before touching them. Now comes the best moment: Tasting! You can decorate the cookies and then pack them in a nice tin, gift them, or enjoy them together with friends and family.
