Sparkly Fireworks
Here you can create a really cool fireworks display! With baking soda, vinegar, and lots of glitter, you can try out a bubbling experiment that looks like a colorful fireworks show. This simple and exciting experiment is especially perfect for New Year's Eve and will definitely bring shining eyes!
What you'll need
- Baking soda
- Glitter
- Vinegar
- A bowl
- Optional: Pipettes
How it works

Place the bowl on the table or on a surface that can get messy.

Pour baking soda into the bowl. This is the secret of your fireworks.

Now sprinkle the glitter over the baking soda. Choose your favorite colors to make it sparkle beautifully.

Take the vinegar and slowly and carefully pour it onto the baking soda. And now watch closely!

It starts bubbling and fizzing – just like a real fireworks show, only in miniature! You can see the glitter dancing and sparkling. This is your own fireworks magic!

Why does this happen? Baking soda reacts with vinegar. When they come together, a gas called carbon dioxide is produced – and that makes the mixture bubble!
