How it works

Warm up some water until it's pleasantly warm (not too hot – you don't want to burn your fingers!). Pour the water into a small container. Then add a spoonful of salt. Stir with the spoon until the salt has dissolved. Be careful not to use too much water.
Dip your brush into the salt-water mixture. Now comes the creative part: paint a snowflake on the blue paper. It can be a big snowflake or many small ones. You can try circles, lines, or patterns. Every snowflake looks different!
Make sure the brush is always well soaked with the salt-water mixture. Now it's time to be patient. Let the picture dry in a safe place where no one accidentally touches it. As the water dries, the salt will remain and make your snowflake visible.
It takes a little time, but that's what makes it exciting. Once the water has completely dried, you'll see how the snowflake magically appears on the paper. The salt sparkles like real snow, as if it has come straight from a winter wonderland to you.
