What you'll need

  • Balloons
  • Different coins

How it works

  1. Before you inflate the balloon, take a coin (like a 10-cent piece) and carefully slide it into the balloon.

  2. Now inflate the balloon. Then tie it tightly so that the air doesn't escape. This keeps the coin safe inside and allows it to move freely.

  3. Now it gets exciting! Hold the balloon firmly and start to spin it. The coin rolls along the side and creates sounds. The faster you spin, the higher the pitch – like a little concert from the balloon!

  4. Next, try out other coins! Take a 20-cent piece or a 1-euro coin and listen closely. Each coin has a different shape and size, producing different sounds. Which sound do you like best? Have fun experimenting and making music!
