Making Sounds with a Balloon
Here’s an experiment that sounds exciting and will amaze you! With a balloon and a coin, you can easily create different sounds! Want to know how? Let’s get started and host a little balloon concert!
What you'll need
- Balloons
- Different coins
How it works
-
Before you inflate the balloon, take a coin (like a 10-cent piece) and carefully slide it into the balloon.
-
Now inflate the balloon. Then tie it tightly so that the air doesn't escape. This keeps the coin safe inside and allows it to move freely.
-
Now it gets exciting! Hold the balloon firmly and start to spin it. The coin rolls along the side and creates sounds. The faster you spin, the higher the pitch – like a little concert from the balloon!
-
Next, try out other coins! Take a 20-cent piece or a 1-euro coin and listen closely. Each coin has a different shape and size, producing different sounds. Which sound do you like best? Have fun experimenting and making music!
