Bouncing Soap Bubbles
Today we are going to do a very special experiment that will enchant you: Bouncing Soap Bubbles! Imagine being able to create soap bubbles that not only float in the air but also bounce like little balls on your hand! Doesn't that sound exciting? Let's get started!
What you'll need
- 1 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/3 cup of dish soap
- A large bowl
- Spoon
- Soft glove
- Soap bubble rings
- Patience and good mood
How it works
-
Pour 1 cup of water into a bowl. Then add 1/2 cup of sugar and stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
-
Now add 1/3 cup of dish soap to the bowl and stir gently. Be careful to create as few bubbles as possible by stirring gently.
-
Find a sheltered spot in the garden or on the balcony. You can experiment more freely outside. You can do it indoors too, but be prepared for it to get sticky when the bubbles pop!
-
Put on a soft glove or a sweater over your hand. This helps prevent the soap bubble from popping. Now gently blow the soap bubble onto your hand. With a little practice, you can make the bubble bounce like a small ball. Just gently with your hand.
-
Soap bubbles are very delicate. Sometimes they pop faster than you can blink. But don't worry, that's completely normal! Be patient and keep trying. With each attempt, you'll get better and it will be more fun.
-
A few tips: A calm day is ideal so your soap bubbles don't fly away or pop immediately. If you want to make really big soap bubbles, you can use a blowing ring from an old soap bubble set. Have fun experimenting!
