Popcorn by the Campfire
Imagine you're outside in nature, sitting together by a warm campfire. It crackles and pops. And guess what? That crackling could get even more exciting if you make delicious, fresh popcorn right from the embers! Popcorn by the campfire is not only super tasty but also a lot of fun! It crackles and puffs, and when it pops, the surprise is great. And the best part? It tastes even better when you make it yourself. Important! Never leave children unattended by the campfire. Use fireproof gloves when holding the pan.
What you'll need
- Fire bowl
- fireproof pan with lid
- or special popcorn pan
- some oil or butter
- Optional: sugar or salt
How it works
-
Ensure the campfire is burning steadily with an even glow. Add a little oil or butter to the pan and let it melt. Sprinkle some popcorn kernels in the pan so that the bottom is lightly covered.
-
Put the lid on the pan. This prevents hot kernels from jumping out. Hold the pan a few inches above the embers and shake it occasionally to prevent the corn from burning. After a short while, the popcorn will start popping.
-
When the popping sound decreases and almost stops, your popcorn is ready. Remove the pan from the fire and let it cool for a moment. Finally, you can sprinkle the popcorn with salt or sugar to your taste.
-
Now you can get cozy, enjoy nature, and munch on your homemade popcorn. Have fun trying it out and enjoying!
