Do you know the feeling when you think you can't do something? That's completely okay! Sometimes we just need a little more time and practice. To help you with that, we present an exciting idea: the "I Can't Do That Yet" box! It's a magical box that reminds you that you can learn anything you want!
What you'll need
- Old box
- Stickers and markers
- Cards
How it works
-
Find an old box or container at home. Paint and decorate it together. This is now your "I Can't Do That Yet" box.
-
Everyone in the family thinks of something they would like to be able to do but can't yet. Maybe you want to read better, sing a new song, or learn to ride a bike.
-
Write or draw your goal on a small card and add the magical words: "I can't [what you want to learn] yet." Put your card in the box.
-
Work on your goals and celebrate every little progress! When you feel you've achieved your goal, take the card out and celebrate together.
-
With this box, you'll learn that it's okay not to be able to do something "yet." The important thing is to never give up and keep trying!
