Hello, you speedy letter detectives! Play a fun game to quickly recognize letters. You'll need a sheet with all the letters of the alphabet.

What you'll need

Draw or print all the letters of the alphabet on a sheet of paper. Each letter gets its own space.
Sit down with your friend or an adult. One person points to a letter, and the other quickly says the sound of that letter. For example: If someone points to 'M', you say 'M'.
Sometimes letters look similar, like 'b' and 'd'. Here's a little tip: Make a fist and point your thumbs up. Now look. Your left thumb makes a 'b' and your right makes a 'd'.
Try to get a little faster each time. But remember, it's more important to recognize the letters correctly than to be super fast.
The most important thing is to have fun. You can also time how long it takes you to go through all the letters and try to beat your own time!
